Who We Are.

The organization was registered as a Private Limited Liability Company under the Companies Act in the last quarter of 2007.

Strategic Inspirations was conceptualized with a view to enabling civil society institutions to operate strategically and effectively in achieving their mission and fulfilling their responsibilities to their stakeholders.
The organization is led by Peter Rezel and is supported by deeply committed professionals with diverse expertise, including Udan Fernando, Rushika Kannangara, and Nuwan Rezel, who serve on the Board. SIPL carries out its consultancies through multi-disciplinary teams who see a role for civil society in the socio-political development of Sri Lanka and the region. The combined experiences of persons with a political outlook, strategic thinking and professional organizational knowledge and skills shaped its enabling capabilities.
Peter and Rushika, as working directors, are assisted by a team of dedicated staff. In addition, SIPL engages a highly competent team of associates with different skill sets, inter alia in the fields of strategy development, programme management, programme evaluation, finance and accounting, legal advice, human resource management, organizational development, and capacity building.
Three main themes of work have been identified given our team’s experience and interests: socio-economic development, human rights and psychosocial work. In all our work, we seek to frame our work through a political-economic lens.
In October 2018, SIPL completed 11 years in the area of providing consultancy services.
